I think that most people agree that animal cruelty is wrong. Animal factory farming is animal cruelty, slaughterhouses is animal cruelty.
Imagine what a world we could create if we stopped feeding ourselves and our children with violence and oppression and instead eat a Whole Foods plant based vegan diet.💓 Meat, egg and dairy all contributes to suffering. It’s ❄️freezing❄️outside but I was seriously craving a smoothie bowl this morning and needed one packed with energy for a weekend of dress & tech rehearsals ⭐️

2x frozen bananas 🍌
2x tbsp crunchy PB 🥜
1/2 cup hazelnut milk 🌰
Topped with fruits & nuts, a @nakdwholefoods cashew cookie bar and homemade date & fig jam 🌱

🌱Vegan chocolate almond protein pancakes.

INGREDIENTS:
.
1 scoop Scitec Nutrition 100% Plant Protein chocolate praline flavour
80 g. plain flour
1 flax egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. smooth almond butter
2 tbsp. maple syrup
100 ml almond or other dairy free milk
Topping:
Banana
Almond butter
Sliced almonds

DIRECTIONS:
.
Mix all ingredients in a bowl until smooth. Drop approx 2 tablespoons of the mixture into a pan set on medium heat, per pancake. Fry each side until golden approx. 3 mins.

Excuse me friends. Weights don’t make you bulky ☝️ They make you:....................................
➖ TONED aka improved body composition by increasing muscle mass through resistance training + nutrition (when exercise intensity is moderate to high + progressive overload + eating enough protein/calories in total + moving your body).
➖ Strong so you can lift things up and put them down easily (like only needing to do one trip from the car to the house because you’re ain’t no two trip sucker).
➖ You can’t grow taller but you sure can grow some nice shoulders if you want to. Or develop the muscles in your back to make your waist appear smaller............... Basically resistance training has the ability to sculpt your body and improve your body composition and then on top of that the other bonuses like improved mood, self confidence (looking after yourself, challenging yourself), improved posture and decreased risk of injury (I could go on). The number one thing clients, members, friends and people online say when discussing health and fitness goals is wanting to be more ‘Toned/Fit’. Excessive cardio isn’t going to get you ‘Toned’ (just skinny and probably unhappy with your body composition like I used to be). Cardio is a great tool for burning extra calories (when weight loss is the goal), increasing your cardiovascular fitness and general enjoyment or if you have a cardio specific goal etc BUT if your goal is the above then focus primarily on resistance training (challenging yourself in each session + choosing a challenging weight for the prescribed reps/sets or time) and eat to fuel your body not to starve it. Then add in cardio if your activity level is low/for the other benefits mentioned secondary to the above..........................................................

P.s gym Gem (after working out, eating carbs is pumped up and looks more vascular/muscular then everyday Gem who probably just looks ‘Toned’. Which is the same for most people, so just because you see photos of people online at the gym don’t expect yourself to be walking around looking like the hulk after 3 months of resistance training (you won’t). 😔Are you currently stagnant in a certain lift?

For me it took many years to finally crack the 100kg Bench for the first time. Is there any sweeter moment in life? 🤩

☝️ It wasn’t until I started to increase the amount of times I benched per week from 1 - 2 that I was finally able to break through my plateau. It was as simple as that!
-
🤗 Now just increasing the amount of times you perform a lift per week isn’t the be all end all magic trick to gains. But I see many people struggling to build strength only performing a lift once a week.
-
🤓 Lifting involves skill and the more total reps you can complete per week in a lift will improve that skill so you can finally hit those PB’s.

Eu pratiquei yoga sozinha por muito tempo antes de ele despertar a vontade de fazer. Como a maioria dos homens, ele "achava" que yoga é só alongamento, "coisa de mulher", etc. Até que uma vez ou outra, ele se juntava numa aula comigo e assim começou.
Hoje em dia, temos um estilo de vida super saudável. Atividade física + alimentação saudável fazem parte de QUEM SOMOS.

DO I EAT 100% ALKALINE?
Well as all of you know I am 100% vegan. I like to stay away from processed foods, cane sugar, white flour, artificial flavors, artificial colorings, natural flavors, bad oils like canola oil and soy etc
I eat 80% alkaline vegan and 20% of the time Whole or raw vegan foods.

I have been kind of nervous to start posting foods that are not alkaline or dr. Sebi approved but still vegan on my page because I thought people might unfollow or judge me . But I feel like it’s time to break our of my shell and show everything I like to eat from alkaline vegan to regular healthy vegan foods.

Like in this picture I have a bowl of oats with peanut butter, walnuts, bananas, agave and blue berries!😍 How good dose this look!
