"With the signing of HB2778 by Gov. Jay Inslee, Washington EV owners can now receive up to an additional $3,100 in instant rebates (via paying no state or local tax on the first $32,000 spent on a new plug-in purchase); that is, provided the new purchase is an all-electric vehicle, or (as just added) a PHEV with at least 30 miles of electric range." - Jay Cole, Inside EVs #PlugInAmerica#PlugInHybrid#PlugInVehicle#PlugInEV#ElectricCar#ElectricVehicle
A study out of washington state suggests that the US is on a tipping point into further adopting electric vehicles into their daily life. This suspicion comes from the halo effect that's been created with the sales launch of the Tesla model 3.
"In the first week along, Tesla got 325,000 pre-orders. To put that number in perspective, that is the equivalent of all EVs on the road at the end of 2015" Don Mackenzie, an assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering at UW. #PlugInAmerica#ElectricVehicle#ElectricCar#PlugInEV#PlugInHybrid#PlugInVehicle#Tesla#TeslaModel3#UniversityOfWashington
Washington state has approximately 12,000 EVs and not nearly enough charging stations for them!
Pacific Northwest electricity, and natural gas provider, Avista Utilities recently asked the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission to approve a two year pilot program to install 265 charging stations in eastern Washington.
Avista estimates for the program to put level two and three charging stations in 120 homes, 100 work places, and 45 public locations it will cost $3.1 million. @avistautilities #PlugInAmerica#ElectricCar#ElectricVehicle#PlugInEV#ChargingStation#AvistaUtilities#KickGas#FutureIsClean

Range Anxiety Busted!
Oh yeah, they made it. Sweet Thanks so much @ecomodepassion for the comprehensive review. #Repost@ecomodepassion with @repostapp.
From 23km of range left, we managed to drive downhill maximizing the regenerative braking (regen) and gained about a total of 5.3kWh of electricity charged into the battery. Highest estimated range indicated was 73km. Amazing! No tow truck, no portable charger, no distress call to @comosmalaysia, just purely regenerating energy by cruising downhill. Once we reached the charging station, plugin, it showed that we still has 25% of power. Brilliant! Glad that we made it.
EV range anxiety busted Modern EV is a very capable car for medium & long distance driving if only facilitated with fast rapid charging stations are installed along the major rest stop areas on the highways. If free & fast rapid charging stations are built a lot enough around the crucial areas, than people would seriously consider switching to EV from the conventional internal combustion engine.
