Handstands and burpees with power jumps = my favourite type of training!

I stopped heavy weight training about 4 months ago when I discovered a more bodyweight/calisthenics approach.
I can't remember what exactly inspired me but it happened anyway and I'm so grateful for the functional fitness it has given me and more importantly the mindset change that shifted.

I used to train in the gym to build a 'better body' and focused more on butt gains than functional physical and mental 'gains'. Not saying that weight training makes everyone think this way but honestly if you haven't tried just pushing your body to it's limits and doing weird crazy and sometimes hilarious things with nothing else but your own body then you are missing out!

I guess it depends what you value most....your ass and biceps growing more or your functionality with your brain and body!

Guys I’ve been eating such delicious food. But it’s wrapping time! Deciding to wear my wrap to bed. I love the holidays cause of the food but maaaaaaan if I keep it up I’m gonna need to do a cleanse. Or get a probiotic. Or both. But trying to listen to my body and that’s my goal for the weekend into the next week. Since I’m starting my academy for work aka CO academy, I’ll need to listen to my body and be sure that for my 3 meals everyday that I eat enough to be satisfied but not full. And satisfied but not hungry in an hour. Saturday wrap party!!!! I’m gonna be hosting an online wrap party on Facebook soon to stay tuned! I tried some low intensity #plyometrics for warm up before my #squat session yesterday and felt great. This is good activation for my body without being too exhausting. I will keep this in my warm up routine.

I was focusing on having the correct body alignment when landing and an efficient recoil off the ground contact. It prepared my muscles and tendons for heavy loading and elastic recoil, and It showed in my squat session yesterday.
