I’ve seen so many people talking about goals for 2019. I’m a very goal oriented person and love these discussions. I also loved a recent post by @emilyisbookish where she discussed the type of books she reads and how these books shape who we are, maybe even unknowingly. I am (admittedly) easily swayed by what everyone else is reading and want to be conscious of what I’m consuming.
With all that in mind, here are a few goal ideas. I’m assigning an “intention” to each goal. My hope is to make progress as perfection is unattainable.
❄️ “Be a Better Steward”— Read a more even ratio of books I own 50/50 (this year it was more like 70/30 with the library books winning).
❄️”Uplift Others” — Interact more purposefully on this account (less scrolling, more chatting).
❄️ “Grow Dreams” — Start a writing routine.
❄️ “Invest in Others” — Put less emphasis on quantity (followers, books read) and focus on quality (interactions, books).
❄️ “Exercise my Mind” — Read a classic book each month.
I would love it if you would chime in with your goals! Or any tips for mine 😉 like a must read classic? Let me know!
