•There’s a Hawaiian principle which goes like this…. ‘Now Is The Moment of Power’, or ‘Manawa’ in the Hawaiian language.
You probably know Eckhart Tolle’s book ‘The Power of Now’ which goes into great detail about the power and gift of being in the present.
What does ‘Now is the moment of power’ or ‘The power of now’ actually mean?
Eckhart Tolle’s book combines New Age, Zen and Buddhist teachings, with a share of Christ’s wisdom. He uses these traditions to describe a “belief system based on living in the present moment”. Its core message is that people’s emotional problems are rooted in their identification with their minds. The author writes that an individual should be aware of their “present moment” instead of losing themselves in worry and anxiety about the past or future (from Wikipedia).
It’s also about being present to your divine guidance and inner wisdom. From that place of silence, you are tuned into your own wisdom, intuition, higher self, soul – your guidance system. That is the female principle, and then it’s about taking real action NOW, which is the masculine principle. That is the key from the Hawaiian teachings – any action can ONLY be taken in the present moment, so with clarity on true action, do it now!
Not all of us can, or would want to live in a cave and meditate all day. We’re living in this real, gritty world, with real world demands. We have families, friendships, careers, businesses to honor and sustain and we have bills to pay.
When we walk the Shamanic path, we have a foot in both worlds. Or as some sages put it ‘head in the clouds, feet on the ground.’
We manifest our dreams by combining the male and female energy – from the NOW moment. We have a purpose to fulfill and a new world to create! It’s all very well getting guidance, but if we don’t act on it, what good is it?
That is my passion! Not airy, fairy, ethereal, never to be dreams, but dreams with the foundation that they’re true for your (powerful) heart to create so that you ARE living your true nature and purpose.
