Porsche is pushing hard to ensure its Mission E electric sports car makes it into showrooms in 2020 with technology to enable fast-charging to 80% in just 15mins.
Power from the Mission E's powertrain is expected to at least match that of the Mission E concept, which produced a combined 590bhp to enable a 3.5sec 0-62mph time. Porsche's engineers are working to ensure this straight-line pace is matched by handling worthy of the brand.
Porsche is making waves at Nurburgring again. With factory driver Kevin Estre behind the wheel, the automaker’s all-new 911 GT3 RS conquered the iconic Nordschliefe test track in less than 7 minutes, joining the ranks of the brand’s 918 Spyder and the 911 GT2 RS.
The 520-horsepower GT3 RS pulled off a lap time of 6:56.4 minutes, trumping the previous model’s record by a full 24 seconds. The impressive performance was also 16 seconds faster than the current GT3.
