Do you hold onto alot of things?
It is very common for alot of people to hold onto things and it is known that we hold alot of our emotions around our hip area.

My great teach in Rishikesh India was teaching me and my fellow teacher trainers ways fo ipen through your hips.

At the beginning I was like lord your going to break me but all I had to remember was to breathe and simply surrender to the posture.

So I had to inhale and when I exhaled that's when I was able to release emotions and allow myself to go deeper into the pose

What Is Tantra The ancient Sanskrit word tantra literally means “warp and woof” or “continuation” and refers to non-duality, interwovenness, or oneness through the union of opposites.
Tantra is an ancient, esoteric Indian spiritual tradition, common to both Hinduism and Buddhism, dating back to before the time of Christ–and even the Buddha, who lived in the sixth century B.C.E. Buddha is said to have transmitted Tantric teachings to his disciples. Both Hindu and Buddhist Tantric traditions emphasize the cultivation of enlightened consciousness, divine oneness, and the burning off of blockages and defilements that cover and inhibit the inner radiance of our own original nature or innate state of perfection. Classic Tantric Buddhist texts, such as an ancient, anonymous manual called “The Union of the Sun and Moon,” reveal how to utilize the right and left psychic energy channels (nadis)–which, in yogic physiology, embody the masculine (solar) and feminine (lunar) energies within our own bodies. As a result, we can become more integrated, awaken our inner energy, and thus experience wholeness.

It’s so incredible to have such great opportunities to travel the world and explore our earths beauty.

I was so incredibly nervous the first time I left Canada (mostly because I was going half way across the world on my own 🙈)
But as soon as I got in the plane it was like all my fears just disappeared, there was a young girl who sat next to me who had traveled all around Canada on her own for 2 months.
When I looked around to see everyone else who was around me I could only imagine where they too had all been.
We are so lucky to have the chance to explore the world.
I don’t come from money nor do I have much but I will work my butt off to see as much as this earth as I can.

This is the kind of yoga I’m into lately. 🌺
Alternate Nostril Breathing or Nadi Shodhana pranayama (subtle energy clearing breathing technique) helps reduce anxiety, calm the mind and relax the body in preparation for mediation. When practiced for a few minutes it instantly reduces stress and fatigue, brain fog and is fantastic in taming the mind in ‘quick fix’ situations such as before a public speaking event, a job interview etc etc etc. 🌺
Keeping the breath natural and light. Dropping into the moment, Accepting and listening to the sound of the breath is incredibly beneficial and relaxing. The key is getting the mind to chill out-and it will after a few rounds of this practice, trust me. 🌺🧠🌺

This breathing technique was created by Dr. Andrew Weil and is called “4-7-8 breathing” and is a natural tranquilizer for your nervous system.
You can use it to relax, reduce stress/anxiety and fall sleep.
Let's give it a go:
1. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound.
2. Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four.
3. Hold your breath for a count of seven.
4. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to a count of eight.
🔝This is one breath. Now inhale again and repeat the cycle three more times for a total of four breaths. Practice twice a day for optimal benefits and takes two months to really perfect.

Let me introduce myself:

Elena, almost 30 years old, I live in Brussels and I'm in love with yoga
I came to the yoga world in 2007 and it stole my heart right away, since then and forever
My path was with many ups and downs, breaks in practice and intensive studying periods, from time to time I was losing the trust in myself and other times I was lazy to go on.
Nevertheless, in 2015 I became a yoga teacher and it was the best decision of my life 💆🏻
I give hatha yoga classes with mixture of yin yoga, yoga nidra, pranayama and meditations.
If you want to know more about me / my way / yoga - I'd be more than happy to answer your questions!

Немного обо мне:
Елена, мне почти 30 и я живу в прекрасном городе Брюсселе. Должна сразу же признаться, что йога - это моя огромная любовь и большая часть моей жизни.

Я пришла в мир йоги в 2007 году и сразу же влюбилась в нее.
С тех пор я переживала разные периоды взлетов и падений, перерывы в практике и очень активные периоды обучения, иногда мне было просто лень заниматься, а порой я теряла уверенность в себе настолько, что просто не могла практиковать.
Несмотря ни на что, в 2015 году я дала свой первый урок и с тех пор являюсь учителем йоги. Что, пожалуй, было лучшим решением моей жизни.
Я преподаю классическую хатха-йогу с элементами инь-йоги, йоги нидра, подключаю расслабляющие техники, дыхательные практики и веду медитации.
Если вам интересно узнать немного обо мне, моем пути в йога-мире или о самой йоге, то я буду очень рада ответить на любые вопросы.

23.05.18 Well, I survived my #surgery yesterday and so now begins my long (2-3 weeks) #recuperation period. I’m in a lot of #pain, sure, but since I’ve only just started having a #6daypractise (I’ve only done 3 weeks in a row) #ashtanga #yoga the fact that I can’t do any yoga or #Pilates for 2-3 weeks is #killingme! But I will take this time to listen to my doctor and to do a lot more #reading. I’ve up to page 41 of #yogamala and learning that there is a lot more to yoga than #asanas Its an ideal time to look at the other #8limbs and understand #yama #niyama #pranayama #pratyahara #dharana #dhyana and #samadhi BTW, I’m wearing #tedstockings (T.E.D. Thrombo-Embolic-Deterrent) or #antiembolismstockings (from hospital) to combat #VTE #venousthromboembolism or #DVT #deepveinthrombosis #preventbloodclot #pulmonaryembolism #weightlossjourney #yogaeveryday #sripattabhijois

According to the tradition, the cultivation of stability is paramount when it comes to our practice both on and off the mat. Why? Because stability is the precursor to self-knowledge and self-knowledge the doorway to self-love. Love indeed exists at the deepest level of our being, yet in order to access its true essence we must first sift through the more superficial layers of personality; only then when we can understand what stands in the way of a true expression of love and move beyond it.
