🧦SOCK HUGS!🧦 I want to gather and give socks of comfort to those affected by Hurricane Michael and the California wildfires! I want to send more warm, comfy, happy socks than I’ve ever seen! When we lost our home to wildfire here in Redding, socks were both essential and a happy luxury. In hotel rooms, in the day-to-day without a way to do laundry, in the evenings when trying to relax...socks were like a tiny piece of home. My Mama sent me a box of socks after we finally found a home, and I still rely on those specific ones as comfort in the midst of uncertainty.
If you want to partner with me in this vision, please help! I want to send as many sock hugs as I can! I will be making tags to affix to each pair, and I hope & pray I’m overwhelmed with tag making duties!
I will personally distribute locally to Paradise evacuees, and will send love to the Panhandle by mail to local churches and community distribution centers.
This is something so small yet so meaningful - everyone we know can contribute. Think of socks you would want if you were displaced: comfy socks, cotton socks, funny socks, holiday socks, warm camp socks, fuzzy socks, baby socks, kids socks, men’s socks, ladies socks, ALL SOCKS will be a blessing! Let your kids pick them out - or grab an extra pair while you’re at Target -- let’s give SOCK HUGS this season! 🧦 Sizes: newborn to adult
