So over the moon with my horses at Golden Spike Horse Trials!!
Seamus and I completed our first prelim with only a little bit of xc time to add to our dressage score. My goal was just to finish but the wonder marshmallow finished in 2nd place out of 12!
Perry led the beginner novice division from start to finish and ended on his dressage score. So proud of my little man and I love the horse he is becoming Good boys #eventing#eventer#prelim#beginnernovice#horsebackriding#horses#showjumping
One year ago today I finished my intern year, the hardest but most rewarding experience of my life.
Intern year is the first year of residency for new physicians. To go through dermatology residency, doctors have to do an intern year first. I did mine in internal medicine at the hospital where I was born: the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
To all the new doctors out there, good luck! It's going to be hard intellectually, physically, and emotionally. But you're going to be great and you've got amazing teachers around you: senior residents, attendings, nurses, and patients.
To anybody scared of July 1, I'll tell you a secret. July is actually the safest month at some teaching hospitals
My intern year at Morristown is over, and it’s a more bittersweet feeling than I expected. Throughout this year, I made connections with coresidents, staff, patients, and attendings. I will definitely miss them all as I go forward to my dermatology residency. I’m excited for what lies ahead for all of us and for everyone starting residency this year, best of luck! Intern year is tough and you’ll hate your life at times, but it really is a rewarding experience. Peace out Motown! #residency#medicalschool#internyear#internalmedicine#dermatology#prelim
Pretty boy coming back from a dressage competition. We got a 3rd! He was listening and responding really well. QOTD: what's your horse's favourite snack?
Honestly thrilled with how this boy was at our first Prelim. I’m so proud of how far this horse has come, when I started riding him as a green bean 3 years ago I never thought we’d be here today. . We didn’t finish because over one of the very last jumps we had a stumble and Epaulet and parted ways. He jumped every technical question with no hesitation, made time feel easy, and it was the most fun I’ve ever had on cross country. Overall, it was our best show to date and he tried his heart out! Sorry I decided to jump the jump without you kiddo ♀️, we’ll get em’ next time. . Thanks to everyone who scooped me up outa the dirt, I wouldn’t be here without you.

First part of Mavs Prelim 1.2 test - Mav scored a 58.85% for this test, his first ever test ridden outside of home! Although slightly disappointed with his Novice mark of 51.45% I do think it was a fair mark as we have a few things to work on regarding his attention and relaxation in competition environments! Pretty happy with that prelim mark though, it also would have probably been a 60% if I hadn't forgotten the long rein trot at A whoops #heymav#neverraced#goodhorse#dressage#prelim#preliminarydressage#thoroughbred
Congratulations to Brittany and RJ! They finished out the day at Full Gallop with their best dressage score of 32 and a beautiful, clear show jumping round- putting them in 2nd place in Prelim. #eventing#prelim#wyattequestrian
