I had so much fun this morning teaching Becca's class how to use found objects for mark-making. The kids were so excited to play with paint and kept telling me about all the things they wanted to look for to use as art projects. They also had fun showing me their messy hands (Becca's hand is the first little one you see at the end of this set of pictures). She was such a great helper today. I loved talking to kids about this because they have such open minds and wild imaginations. They LOVED the idea of picking stuff up off the ground to use - something that is harder for us to do as adults because we're worried what people might think. I hope I helped to inspire a new generation of re-users, upcyclers, out-of-the-box thinkers and artists. They were a huge inspiration to me and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to spend the morning with them. But I do feel bad for the teachers because we made a HUGE mess!
