Well, I missed yesterday’s #igquiltfest prompt, but luckily I have a tip today that covers both!
Nesting and spinning seams is my favorite secret skill. I call it secret because the pretty little pinwheels on the back of quilt get buried in the middle, but it is the reason that I don’t use a single pin for piecing my patchwork quilts together (#timesaver). Seams are nested by pressing to opposite sides in neighboring rows- the seam has a little bolt of bulk that you can use to butt seams together and get perfect corners. Spinning seams helps the bulk in the corners lay flat! .
