I’ve always thought of Indian Creek as a giant classroom in which to practice and hone crack climbing technique. It’s where I learned how to ringlock, where I figured out the rand smear and how to heel-toe cam, where I discovered finger stacks and arm bars, and got dialed on hand-fist stacks and knee locks. After ten years of climbing here, I feel like I’ve learned all I can from this place, which is probably why I didn’t feel super motivated to climb here this season. I’m glad I came, though, because no matter what, it’s always fun to hang with old friends and make some new ones.
