Day 9 of strength training.
All kinds of them.
I didn't make it. I stretched.
One of the hardest things about weight lifting for me is knowing when too much is too much. I always want to push myself and be as strong as I possibly can. But, that has got me injured several times. So, the hardest thing for me is to know when to stop and not overdo it. Today was one of those days. I had to take a good look at my form, my stance, what muscles I was utilizing and what muscles I wasn't utilizing, drop the weight, drop everything even the bar, and evaluate.
Romanian deadlifts have always been a problem for me. I don't ever feel the pull in hamstrings like I should. So there is something wrong. I'm not doing them correctly and I need to fix that. Because as I learned today and last night, being able to do the Romanian deadlift is a foundation to doing a great deadlift, period. Using the muscles that you're supposed to instead of your back makes all the difference. So, I will be focusing on Romanian deadlifts. I don't want to, but I have to.
