Scared of cutting because you think you might lose muscle mass?
Yeah, same! But here are some things that work for me:
- decrease your calories slowly, don’t just shock your body. It’s supposed to be slow process.
- make sure you get your daily amount of protein in. Aim for 1-1.5g of protein per pound of body weight per day.
- still continue your training like normal, don’t swap weight lifting for cardio. If you have time add 30 minutes of cardio to the end of your workout 1-2 a week. Don’t go too crazy on cardio though.
- do high-intensity interval training, HIIT, once or twice a week. I find it great for fat loss and muscle maintenance, definitely prefer it over cardio.
Cutting is all fun and games but I can’t wait to bulk in a few months time
