Crispy Veg pastry samosas, perfect for a side or a quick snack Prep and cook time total :20 minutes Melt 50g of butter and add crushed garlic. Add frozen veg of your choice in. I added carrots, peas, sweet corn and spinach. Toss until water from veg is released and dried. Add in salt and cayenne chili powder (1/4 teaspoon of each) and add in 1/2 teaspoon of mixed herbs. Finally add in 4 tablespoons of cooking cream. Leave aside to cool. Using Shaan ready made parathas, when semi defrosted (enough to maneuver the parathas into shapes u desire - cute one shaan paratha into two semi circles. Take one semi circle and add the veg mix in the corner to one side- use the other side of the semi circle paratha to cover over and lock in edges using ur fingers to fasten the edges- use a fork to encourage the ends to meet securely. Garnish with egg yolk and bake under the oven at gas mark 5 for 10 minutes. #pastry#shaan#paratha#veg#vegpastry#vegchef#recipes#recipeideas#quicksnack#quicksnackideas#puffpastryrecipes#pastryrecipes#food#foodblog#foodbook
Thank God for frozen home-cooked goodness! And thank you for grandmothers who tend to produce tons of food that can be stores when needed the most 🍲💕💕 Today we had a fabulous day out and of course... The kids are always hungry! So you can imagine how happy I was to find that i had something stored in the freezer. I usually like to stock up on muffins, patties, pies, pasta muffins etc. Unfortunately all has been used up.. Which means its time for a cooking morning sometime in the very near future 😅🙏 #homecooked#quicksnack#freezerfood#kidsalwayshungry#grandmother#batchcooking#fundayout
Cereal Bars 👌🏻 I had some left over cereal from Ainsley and I wanted to do something with it and remembered the old “cereal bars” that we use to eat as kids. The ones with the icing bottoms and sugar filled cereal on top 😉😊 So I wanted to try and recreate them! They turned out so amazing I used Dandies brand of marshmallows because they do not have corn syrup and use cane sugar, with the same taste💕 Ingredients/ Directions - 1 bag of Dandies marshmallows ( follow the heating instructions on bag) - 4 cups of your favorite cereal— we choose Cascadia brand ( even mix two kinds together!) -Mix in to the bowl you heated the marshmallows in, place in a pan and flatten them out. Let them stand and then cut them (( we add peanut butter to the top of ours 🙂)) Enjoy!! #honestgrubhonestfoodie#falleats#stleats#foodblogger#treatyourself#likeakidagain#organiceats#dandiesmarshmallows#cascadiafarms#cerealbars#quicksnack#quicktreat
