15 months ago I left Miami for Santa Rosa, in Sonoma county California. I wanted to build a cannabis company, and started with the little money I had. I moved in July 2017, and a few months later I put everything I had into the first 1,800 square foot greenhouse. The devastating Tubbs fire took that greenhouse a week later. I couldn’t afford groceries. I started doubting the idea and thought maybe it’s a sign to abandon the idea. At the bottom I forced myself to remember why I started. To put myself in the mindset I was in when I decided to make the move. Hard as it was, I made up my mind to keep going, to fight it out no matter how hard it got. I had some product sitting at the house I was renting that i needed to sell. It was the closest thing, the only thing I had, to have some cash. A few days later, the neighborhood where I was living was now on fire and the feds and firefighters decided to use the house I was renting as their base. They ran into the outdoor crop and said they had to seize it. 7 fed suvs showed up and started taking pictures of the crop. It was legal product but they didn’t care. I fought it as hard as I could for hours but it looked like they were seizing it. Then the guy in charge got a call, hung up, told his people ‘let’s go’ and they marched out, leaving the product.
15 months later I’ve got 400,000 square feet of greenhouse.
Don’t give up on your dreams, you’ll find a way 😁
