1962 Ferrari 250 GTO by Scaglietti—winner of the 1962 Italian GT Championship, first in class at Targa Florio in 1963 and 1964. Expected to reach over $45m, this is the most valuable car ever offered for auction, and the centerpiece of this year’s RM Sotherby’s Monterey sale on the 24th-25th August. The 250 GTO is classed as Ferrari’s most important and legendary GT racing car, this example is the third of only 36 GTOs built.
The beautiful red paintwork of this super rare GTO also helped to inspire our very own Monza red R1-S razor. For more about the GTO visit rmsothebys.com and for the Monza Red R1-S visit www.bolinwebb.com.
