It's always good to find time for some reflection.
I'd recommend the tranquility of the lake district.
Yes there is plenty of activity and it perhaps isn't the kind of trip where you kick off your flip flops to feel the warm sand between your toes and are refreshed by a fruity cocktail.
In terms of being good for recuperation though, wandering around a lake, trekking up the side of a mountain, camera in hand and ending up in a warm pub with an open fire, can also do wonders.
The autumn colours are pretty beautiful too although I'm yet to find a time of year when the lakes aren't gorgeous.
