I love Supta Virasana (reclining hero) because it’s the yummiest stretch for my quads and hip flexors. Often I’ll place a bolster underneath my back, in line with my spine, to recline onto but if I’m feeling more open then an unpropped version as shown is delicious. This heart opening asana allows for a deep sensation all through the front line of the body which is particularly inviting if you’re prone to rounding your shoulders forward. Care should be taken in this pose to not hyperextend the lumbar spine so always enter and exit this pose slowly and with the breath. It’s my favourite place to chill!
