@the_many_treks_of_spock won a story feature by donating in bootsie's giveaway.
My name is Tressa. I'm cat Mom to Spock, Alice, Khan, and Bond. I won this chance to have a story feature. I have chosen a true story from my childhood. Bear with me as the story will tie into the next giveaway I'm planning for Khan's 2nd bday.
As a kid I loved dinosaurs. In fact I still do. In the early eighties one of my favorite toys was a large plastic Tyrannosaurus Rex. He was posed with his mouth open in an eternal roar ready for battle.
It was lunchtime and I was at home so the only battle I would be part of would be my parents getting me to eat my sandwich ENCLUDING the crust.
I hate the crust!
Me being the kid and my parents being... well the parents I knew I would lose and weakly agreed to eat the crust.
So I assumed the sulking position. A hand on each cheek smooshing them up as far as they would go.
Have you ever sulked with a sandwich?
I had brought my T- Rex with me and was now looking at him. I remember thinking, "I bet the Tyrannosaurus Rex ate anything." I softly mumbled to my T-Rex, "I bet you would even like my crusts." That's when it hit me! Remember when I told you my T Rex was posed with his mouth open in an eternal roar? Well he was also hollow inside.
As quick as I could I shoved all the crusts into the mouth of my T Rex.
I felt pretty clever until several days later when my dad asked, "What smells?" "Is that your dinosaur?"
It didn't take long until I was found out and was asked why I had done it.
"Well dad I was sharing. You said sharing is the right thing to do." Now I would like to share with all of you!
No not sandwich crusts. I would like to share my appreciation for my followers and new furfriends by hosting a dinosaur themed giveaway for Khan's 2nd birthday.
I will be listing all the details the first week of June.
I hope you will join us.
