This #WellnessWednesday breath is the perfect topic for getting over that mid-week hump. The benefits of deep breathing are the relaxing of your muscles, refueling your cells with oxygen which is great for healing and mental focus. Your blood pressure also lowers. As your muscles let go of tension, your blood vessels dilate and your blood pressure can return to a normal level and last but not least,
endorphins are released. This improves feelings of well-being and provides pain-relief.
Lets try it shall we? Close your eyes and observe your breath. Where are you breathing? Is your breath in your stomach or your chest? Try your best to allow yourself to inhale at a natural pace, not forced, from belly to chest .. a nice deeeeep breath and then at a natural pace, peacefully, exhale until all the air is gone. Take your tiiiiiime.
How did that feel? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Try a few more! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Doesn't cost you a penny to do it and you can do it anywhere! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
