Where my multi-taskers at??!
I really believe that this is a learned skill. You aren’t born with it.
Before I had kids, I couldn’t multi task to save my life! One thing at a time. If not? All hell broke loose.
We’re told to work smarter, not harder. But what does that really mean?
It doesn’t mean we take on 4 activities at once.
It doesn’t mean that we say yes to every opportunity thrown our way.
It doesn’t mean we please everyone.
It means we focus our energy on one task at a time.
It means we pick activities that actually serve us.
It means we say no, even when it’s hard not to.
Multitasking, in my opinion, isn’t just a skill we gain and perfect over time. It’s a skill that can also be our own undoing.
We focus more on how much we can get done rather than the quality of our work. Then, what we are doing eventually becomes half-assed. Nothing to be proud of.
Work SMARTER. Not HARDER.
Are you a huge multi tasker? Do you think you’re good at it or does it cause you more grief than it should?
