🍷🍴RESTAURANT/WINE BAR TIP, Cassino - Italy 🇮🇹FULL REVIEW@LINK IN BIO!!! I tried @santobevitoreenoteca last night for dinner, as it was conveniently located in front of my hotel. I went in thinking about grabbing a quick bite with a nice glass of wine to wrap up a busy yet satisfying work day, but then ended up getting out of there a few hours later quite tipsy, stuffed full of food and happy.😅 I was treated to the most pleasant antipasto of home made focaccia with buffalo mozzarella and tomato sauce, the creamiest ricotta with banana chutney (could eat this as a dessert everyday), a fried bombetta stuffed with lentils, another one with raw ham, and finally some simple yet tasty roasted potato slices. All washed down with a crisp, bubbly glass of Prosecco.🍷The attentive waiter/Maitre D, Alessandro, took the time to explain the wines as the the delicious food was served. As for the main, I opted for the duck breast, although at that point I was already feeling quite full. This because, I was also brought some delicious home made bread and focaccia with some fantastic cold-press olive oil, which I swiftly proceeded to soak and eat as quickly as possibly. Then, compliments of the chef Nicola, some roast beef with raw purple cabbage and dijon mustard. Zingy and perfect.
The duck was excellent. I had never eaten duck so simply and quickly seared in its crispy skin, with such a tender pink centre.🦆 The taste and consistency was excellent, also simply presented with steamed beets and sweet cherry tomatoes. All washed down with a red wine from Calabria recommended by Alessandro. Although I said I'd pass on the dessert, I was presented with a couple of tasty buttery biscuits, meringues, and lush chocolate truffles with my coffee, and not only that! I was also brought a glass of delicious sherry, with a cherry!🍒, a Negroni with a twist and a Spritz 2.0, all delicious👌🏻Santo Bevitore and the guys who work in it, from the owner, to the chef and the lovely waiting staff, are the perfect example of Italian greatness at all levels: of food, hospitality and design. I highly recommend it!✌🏻️
