Hello! Hi there! It's just me, the one who hasn't posted in a while. Well, that's due to a new puppy, college move in (it effects my job like none other, so I'll be busy 7:30-4:30 for the next....2ish weeks?), and just life.
Actually, I've been trying to go to the gym in some fashion 4-5 days a week. Something like that. I've also made an effort to not make social media a priority.
But the point of this post (if you've followed this far). I haven't deadlifted for volume since last October when I herniated a disc in my back throwing bundles of shingles around. I couldn't walk for days. It was the worst pain I have ever felt.
So today, I was like... screw it. Let me build up and see if I can at least get to 225. My Max was 315 a few years ago. So, without my belt (which could have been bad news bears), I hit it. It actually felt good. Zach said he's always told me I'm naturally strong, but I never believe him....maybe a smidge after today. Not entirely bragging. Just your daily reminder to try something that scares you. It might actually me fun and/or rewarding!
