The wise one does not get distracted by the glitz, glamour or fabrics of life. One can acquire the most expensive lifestyle, achieve the greatest accomplishments, triumph in accolades, marry the most attractive spouse, become a scholar, wear the greatest fashion or even do amazing humanitarian deeds. But, if one can't be honest with self and submit to what is perceived as less than their standards, then how can they be masters of self? Humility is often dismissed in favor of what is vain, all to disguise our insecurities and pain. For one to humble their self is for true understanding. Without such character, how can we 'innerstand', 'overstand' or succeed in ascension? The basics of life must be understood before we judge and give disdain to what it is that we do not give consent or an agreeable nature to. Humility is necessary to understand all modalities, all dynamics in this realm. We form attachments to the mundane if we dismiss humility and true awakening, which leaves us void of ascension according to the circumstances of the afterlife. If one can't define their flaws or humble themselves in submission to what is "less than their standards", then how can they teach or lead in all situations while toting the burden of excessive pride? You have to become and truly understand the disposition of those who you wish to liberate or lead. If you can't truly lead or submit yourself to what is beneath you, then all credentials you possess are really worthless and create the impression as if they're just for bragging rights. In other words, there's a difference between one inspiring others and one seeking self validation and exaltation. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
