THIS IS ME
Most of you know kind of whats been happening in my life lately. I just got married, joined team beach body, yada yada. But I want to tell you what’s REALLY been going on.
For about 3 or 4 years now, I’ve been battling with migraines. On and off for the most part. I would get them maybe 3 times a week on a not so great week. This was the norm until about January 2018.
They started getting worse. I was having them AT LEAST four times a week. Ice might help. A little rest would do, but no complete cure.
August 2018 rolls around. At this point I had started tracking when I would get a migraine and what my pain scale was. But this time was different. This time, it didn’t go away.
Since August 15, 2018. I have had a migraine. Not migraine plural. This has not gone away. No amount of pain medication can take it away. I’ve skipped numerous days of work, missed out on social activities, and my overall quality of life has suffered. I’ve seen doctors, tried lots of medications, and used different therapies but still, nothing.
I live each day with my pain resting at an 8 or 9... and that’s on a good day. The most accurate way of describing what the pain feels like is if you can imagine someone taking two screwdriver into the sides of your head and twisting them over and over and over again, that’s how I feel.
It’s been 17 weeks. 122 days. 2,928 hours of agonizing pain. Why?
I say all of this because I want you all to know how I’m coping, what I’m doing to distract myself. I’ve joined team beach body and it’s changing my life. I have a distraction. Something I look forward to do each and every day. I get to fuel my body with good nutrients, work my butt off doing hard workouts, and I FEEL GOOD! I have more energy, I’m happier, and I’m so motivated to be healthy.
And you know what the good news is? You can too. My pain isn’t gone, and I’m not sure when or if it will be. But I’m overcoming. I will not let my pain stop me from staying active. I will fight to feel good and I will fight to keep moving forward.
If you’re ready to learn more or want to talk with me, I’m always open to questions. The link to get started is in my bio! COME AS YOU ARE! >>>>
