🏃‍♀️ How Long have you been running?
It’s hard to believe that just a little over 3 years ago running did not exist in my life.
.
These injuries I have right now wouldn’t be that big a deal, I’d just get through it.....in fact I wouldn’t have them most likely 😆 .
Running has brought so much joy to my life, so many goals, determination, motivation and so many new friends thanks to this Instagram world along with @runningmumsaustralia .
I have grown so much as a person, I believe in myself so much more. I know what it feels like to have a goal and reach it, to have a goal and have hurdles in your way, I know what that fight and passion to get there feels like.

In 10 days time I am going to give my current goal of my first full marathon @melbmara all that I have and I have 100% faith in myself with the help of my coach @run2pb that I will get there, it will be a little slower than I originally hoped but I will get there.

Für mich kaum verständlich, haben einige von euch Spaß an Intervalle. 😂 Um nicht gleich zu übertreiben, habe ich an meinem ersten Urlaubstag gleich mal ein kurzes Intervalltraining gemacht. Da der Umfang überschaubar war, hat es sogar Spaß gemacht. 😜

TRUE INTROVERT
....🙌
Yep, 100% introvert here. In fact, it took me a good two years to finally decide to get on Instagram after much deliberation. The idea of posting pictures of myself all the time just seems very narcissistic to me, even to this day.
.
I do not like photos taken of myself and I am always the one taking photos for others and I'm always missing in photos. Even now, there are days when I still feel weird about posting another picture of myself on here and talking about myself. Its just not something I am naturally inclined to do. At all.
.
I like quiet. I like my own company. I like to stay in the background. In kindergarten I would sooner sit and talk with a tree then I would play with other kids.
.
This does not mean I am socially inept however. Quite the opposite actually as my profession and life constantly demands of me to be in contact with people. My biggest strength is my ability to relate to people. It's just that I am actually just an island upon myself. A happy one at that.
.
I am however so glad I came on here as the connections I've made through Instagram are incredible. We all should acknowledge this and the fact that not that many years ago none of this would be possible. So, I urge all introverts to open up and get out there, use this medium to make real connections you'd never have had the chance to make. You got nothing to loose and everything to gain.
.
Anyway, just wanted to clear that up!

Ran my first #halfmarathon yesterday and it was amazing!!! I went in with a goal time of 2:30 and I finished in 2:20! I love to say I’m done, but that #runnershigh is real and I already can’t wait to do it again!

Det gör mig lite ledsen att tänka på att sommaren snart är slut. Den gick som vanligt alldeles för snabbt.. 😔 Även om jag inte för fem öre ser fram emot det plugg som väntar i höst så har jag ändå en hel del som får mig att se ljuset i tunneln. Först och främst en roligare vårtermin som väntar, ibland måste man ju bara ta sig igenom vissa tråkiga kapitel för att komma till nästa, inte skjuta upp saker. Bara göra. Bita ihop och hitta det positiva i det! En heeel del spännande upplevelser, massvis med löpning och tävlingar, flera revanscher efter förra höstens skada. Stickade tröjor, te och tända ljus. Fan, hösten kanske inte blir så dum ändå. Haha, ni hör, jag är kluven! Äh, det löser sig! Men först - njuta det sista av sommaren! 🙌🏻

EYES ON THE PRIZE

For as long as I can remember, in trail running as well as in business, i've always been told that one of my greatest qualities is grit and self-discipline (aka just a cute way to say I never EVER give up on a damn thing 😅). So that's what i've been focusing on for the past little while: tapping into my strengths WHILE working on what could be improved. And let me say: so far so good 🙌

This whole transition from our offline consulting business to the online version of it was and still is a great testing of those two characteristics of mine and let me tell you that when the Universe decides to test how serious you are about creating something and touching the heart of lots of people, She is not joking! 🤣

And so, just like with my trail running journey which began just a little over 2 years ago, the bumps in the road are definitely what makes the whole ride interesting and that much valuable in terms of lessons learned. 💣

A couple of years back, I couldn't run 2k without feeling like dying. Today, I am filled with the Universe's energy and feel like nothing can stop me. Whether that be on 160k races or on my crazy intense daily trainings, I. DON'T. EVER. GIVE UP.

Same goes for this journey we embarked on at about the same time I started running (yes, I definitely owe everything to running 😂). When I first experienced how blissful and purposeful it feels to radically transform the life of a fellow soul and help them fulfill their purpose on this planet, I knew NOTHING could ever replace that feeling nor make me stop.

That's why taking risks and diving in the newness of having our business online has always been worth it. Because I am not the one I do it for, my business as an entity neither. The ones we do it for are our clients and our mission (dharma) that makes us wake up every single morning with the thirst of always pushing forward, always delivering more, always serving them better than the day before.

Now you know why i've come to love setbacks and bumpy roads (literally and figuratively) 😇 They're an important part of the process of growing to the person I need to be to serve and love my clients more than anything

#medalmonday. Competed in the Two Tunnels 10k yesterday in Bath and what a great route. I got a time of 46.48 which was 9 seconds off my PB (I did take a wrong turn and ended up on the half marathon route for about 20 seconds so embarrassingly had to turn back...so I think I would have got a PB 🙈...plus my strava didnt record!). However despite the few hiccups I actually felt really comfatable which is a good sign with only 3 weeks left till my first half marathon. Little niggle in my right leg but nothing major. This was the first time @run_jad_run had seen me set off for a race and finish which was really nice and then I got to do the same for his half marathon which he ran straight after my 10k. Would really reccomend this race, very well organised with PB potentials so thank you @relishrunning and all the volunteers. We also managed to get some time to explore Bath and have a wonder around. I always love visiting this place...stunning #architecture. Anyone else raced this weekend? .

First day back at the gym post surgery. The plan was to do a 45 min gentle cycle but 6 minutes in somehow wacked my ankle on the pedal which was excruciating put the end to that so focused on upper body and walking. I won’t lie I was buzzing to be back, I’ve never been injured where you cannot do any cross training, it’s so different and much worse (for me anyway!). So was a bit gutted today ended as a bit of a flop but guess I’ve got to start somewhere. Also no weight gain which is a definite bonus.

Ich weiß, viele mögen den Montag nicht, hassen ihn sogar. Ich muss gestehen, für mich beginnt der Montag immer super, beide Kinder sind außer Haus, ich habe mal ein bißchen Zeit für mich und die nutze ich meistens zum Laufen. Heute wollte ich mich nicht unter Druck setzten und einfach den Kopf frei bekommen. Rausgekommen ist ein toller 13km Lauf ✌🏼 jetzt geht es ab unter die heiße Dusche und dann gibt es Frühstück 😁 Nom Nom Nom..

If you asked me, what paradise looked like, I would show you Rago national park ❤️😮 One of the most beautiful places on Earth. Week 8: Day 36 (Chicago Marathon Training 🏃🏾‍♂️)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
#MedalMonday 🏅 That was a tough half marathon. The elevation (766 ft) speaks for itself ⛰! Definitely not a PB course - I’ve never had to stop at traffic lights 🚦 at a race before but what a stunning location to run in! The route incorporates two tunnels of a disused railway line. The Somerset & Dorset Railway closed in 1966 but re-opened in 2013 as a footpath and cycle route. The first tunnel, the Devonshire Tunnel, is 408m long and the second, Combe Down Tunnel, is 1672m long. Both tunnels are well lit and of course, flat. It was nice to feel the cool breeze under the tunnels. Following this, after some steep inclines, we finally ended up on the canal towpaths. Mile 13 was up a steep incline and then another incline to the finish at #BrickfieldsPark. Really pleased to have finished in 17th place with a time of 01:33:03 . My legs are definitely feeling it today though!

So much going on on one day - 5K, 10K, HM, M and an Ultra! Many thanks to @RelishRunning and the volunteers who made this happen yesterday. Congratulations to my lovely man who completed the 10K race. @run_with_craig It was a bit lonely not running in a race with him but I’m so proud of him for finishing it with an awesome time. Hope you all had a great weekend of running! 🏃🏾‍♂️

1️⃣1️⃣ weeks to the NYC marathon as part of Beyond Type Run 🏃‍♀️.

My favorite accessory after a run is my foam roller. My favorite accessory during a run is usually my Dex.
.
Today’s run was frustrating. Dex was reading 100+ points high. This was the first time in 9 months of the G6 that I felt I needed to calibrate it (but didn’t). And, I was on a hillier route and my legs were tired. I took several (much needed) loooong walk breaks to check my sugars - and my attitude.💉🤨.
.
Through some self-talk and some good tunes, I somehow managed to adjust my attitude and be thankful that my legs were able to propel myself up the hills, no matter how tired they were. And, to be especially grateful for access to cgm technology that works really well for me the majority of the time.
.
While today’s run didn’t come with that endorphin high, it came with that more important reminder of gratitude 🙏 -- and to continue to always carry a meter as back-up.🤪💉.
