My love Running ...
Went to the gym today and tried to do a fast 10K on the mill, but ran into some stomach issues. It hasn’t felt right since the Chipotle debacle of Thursday night, not to mention the combo of donuts and carrots yesterday for a “snack.” Also, the 1/2 bag of chocolate chips for dessert last night didn’t do me and favors 🙄. I was doing so good, and then everything went out the window and I started eating not so well the last few days. I’m going to remember this crummy feeling and do better now! •
Anyway, I was supposed to do 2.5 up, 6.2 at 6:40 pace, and 3 down. Here’s what really happened:
👍2.5 up at 8:57 pace
👉5 miles @ 6:49, 6:44, 6:40, 6:40, 6:35
👉1 min “break” where I just hopped off to let the stomach settle
👉1.2 @ 6:22 pace
👎3 “downish” at 7:30 pace (I was mad at myself for stopping)
You live and learn right? A good WO, but I am sad that I gave in to the uneasy feeling and hopped off for that minute. My legs felt ok, my breathing was hard, but not too hard- I definitely could’ve finished it up😩. You’ve all been there though I’m sure, just gotta move on to the next one.
