This week I thought I’d share my new perspective on diet and exercise- I hate both- I prefer food and training.
With that said, instead of eating/ not eating certain things and exercise that is focused on weight loss/ weight management, I’ve changed my focus and it’s fabulous!
My fur baby and I LOVE the outdoors, we love trails, exploring, going to the lake every day. He LOVES TO RUN and, when I’m not injured, so do I.
It’s taken a year to get my ankle healthy enough to run but, as of last week, I am pain free! My furry dude and I have been cautiously hitting the trails and that has sparked change. My motto has become- eat and train for the life I love. I love being outside with my pup, in the mountains, enjoying the trails. So, that’s the goal. Eat, train, recover to be THE BEST we both can be to soak up every amazing inch of these beautiful mountains!
For me that means prioritizing protein to promote strength, hitting the weights twice a week to prevent Injury, and running 3-4 times a week to allow us both time for recovery and let Wyatt getting his weekly sniffing quota. 😆🐾
