I am the #blessed recipient of a #child who always challenges my thinking because of the #lens in which she views life. She's currently #four years old and has been attending #swim classes since she was two. Recently, she was striving to #advance to a new level and I was observing her #class from outside of the glass windows. At one point, it looked like she was #struggling, but then she found her way back to the #safety of the wall. After class, I was helping her get dressed and I said, "Hey girl, you did really well in class today. But it looked like at one point you were struggling. You better be #careful so you don't drown." She looked up at me and said, "Momma, what is drown?"
I was floored. She's been in swim lessons for 20 months and doesn't even know what it means to #drown. She's experienced so much in that #pool and has no idea how bad things could be or how dangerously close she could potentially be to #death. Almost 800 kids die each year in the US for drowning and my sweet #daughter had no idea what it even means.
What if we tried everything we wanted to try with no regard for the 'worst thing' that could happen? Imagine a world where we don't even know what the word #FAIL means. The worst thing isn't always the most #likely thing, but so often we operate as if it is. #Stop operating as if your #failure is the most likely outcome. It is not! You can win! Walk in the #belief that you are likely to win at anything you try and watch your life begin to #shift.
