Adrien Renoir Les Montants 2014.
100% Chd, 3g/ltr, d/g 4/18.
An initial hit of Pinot fruit on the nose which tightens on second pour to bring some exotic pitch of citrus pith, starfruit and chalk, reminding you that it is indeed Chardonnay. Plenty if juicy weight and a nicely balanced palate. Gaining massively in complexity from my first tasting a year or so ago.
Charles Dufour Le Haut de la Guignelle 2015.
100% PN, d/g 11/18.
Loads of strawberry and redcurrants on an oyster shell. Such a stunning entrance and this deliciously chewy mid leading to a tasty and salty finish. Yummy!
RL Legras Saint Vincent 1996.
Insanely fresh. Very proud acidity with a little play of brioche. Creamy. Tight, linear, strict. Lacking a touch of charm but opens nicely to develop more buttery richness on the mid palate. Needs time.
