In 2000 I moved to Toronto and lived with my two best friends. One of them was, and still is, naturally talented in the kitchen. She made me her sous-chef and night after night directed me on what to cut, dice or julienne.
She also taught me to make salad dressings. I never knew how simple it was. An oil, a vinegar, a bit of sweet a bit of salt can be the beginning of any delicious dressing. I haven’t bought a store brand bottle since.
This dressing is my regular ‘go to’ - simple and easy. It works with almost any salad. Feel free to add any fresh herbs you may have on hand.
