@ashtangamondays on Thursday. The Ashtanga Monday pose was salamba sarvangasana aka shoulder stand. This is the first pose of the Ashtanga finishing sequence. This is what is considered an inversion practice in Ashtanga 🙃 The finishing sequence is the same for every series and is done after finishing backbends. I see soooo many people treat this like its unimportant, not useful, not gratifying, etc. but it’s actually a very important part of practice. These inversions allow your heart rate to settle back down, slow the breath, settle the energy from practice and ground us to prepare for rest. When I let my mind focus on 10 deep breaths in each of these poses it creates such a calm, serene feeling within me. I realized years ago that I was prioritizing getting to all my other poses and not leaving enough time for finishing, so I decided one day that no matter where I am in my sequence (no matter what I haven’t completed that my mind might think I “need”), I will stop 30 minutes before I have to leave and give myself enough time for finishing. That’s my Ashtangi pro tip to you. It will help you release your attachment to poses (which you shouldn’t have to begin with if you’re doing this right 😉) and it really leaves the practice feeling complete and balanced. It also might encourage you to actually show up earlier so you can get to all the things you want to get to! Eventually your practice just won’t feel right without enough time for these poses. 一面發現原來有這麼些雜質在裡面一面感覺清洗的平靜

原本就蠻常用犁鋤當後彎回復
但在b之後
獲得輔具的支撐
還是會覺得很幸福

全然由身體接收的幸福感很奇妙
由輔具——
而非事件、情節或他人,沒有轉折、也不完全是自己的功勞
卻是藉由物
穩定紮實的性質中得到的感性
彷彿暫時可以相信著什麼

Today's Yoga Practice🧘🏾‍♀️: Starting with ѕαlαmвα ѕαrvαngαѕαnα (ѕhσuldєrѕtαnd) & transitioning to hαlαѕαnα (plσugh pσѕє).

These poses are the first two I learned by accident during my martial arts training🥋. Don't ask me how I did it because even I don't remember 😂. Anywho, I've been practicing yoga on and off for about 5-ish years now. I can still do most of the backbend poses, but not all of them. The arm strengthening poses are difficult, but doable since I don't have full strength in my shoulders yet. Right now, my goal is to master Scorpion🦂 Pose & Standing Split Pose since those are my top 2 favorite poses. The purpose for this is to increase my flexibility, as well as lift heavier weights🏋🏾‍♀️ & have a tighter core. Plus, I think my fighter cosplays ⚔️ would look dope af with Scorpion Pose & Standing Split Pose.

É impossível superestimar a importância de Sarvangasana. Ela é uma das maiores bençãos conferidas à humanidade por nossos antigos sábios. Sarvangasana é a mãe dos asanas. Assim como uma mãe se esforça pela harmonia e felicidade do lar, este asana trabalha pela harmonia e felicidade do sistema humano; é excelente para a maioria das afecções comuns. No organismo humano, existem vários órgãos endócrinos ou glândulas de secreção interna que são banhadas pelo sangue e absorvem seus nutrientes, segregando homônios para o funcionamento apropriado de um corpo e de um cérebro equilibrado e bem desenvolvido. Se as glândulas deixam de funcionar apropriadamente, os hormônios não são produzidos como deveriam e o corpo começa a se deteriorar. É surprendente como muitos asanas têm um efeito direto sobre as glândulas e ajudam-nas a funcionar corretamente. Sarvangasana faz isso com as glândulas tireoide e paratireoides, que estão localizadas na região do pescoço. Em virtude do bloqueio firme do queixo, o suprimento de sangue é aumentado. Ademais, como o corpo está invertido, o sangue venoso flui para o coração sem nenhum esforço, pela dorça da gravidade. Há uma circulação de sangue arterial no pescoço e no peito. Como resultado, pessoas que sofrem de falta de ar, palpitação, asma, bronquite e afecções da garganta encontram alívio. Como a cabeça permanece firme nesta postura invertida, e o suprimento de sangue para ela é regulado pelo bloqueio do queixo, os nervos são acalmados e as dores de cabeça - mesmo as crônicas - desaparecem. A prática regular deste asana erradica resfriados comuns e outros distúrbios nasais. Devido ao efeito calmante da postura sobre os nervos, aqueles que sofrem de hipertensão, irritação, irascibilidade, neurastenia e insônia sentem alívio.
A mudança da gravidade do corpo também afeta os órgãos abdominais, de modo que os intestinos se movimentam livremente e a prisão de ventre desaparece. Como resultado, o sistema se livra das toxinas e a pessoa se sente cheia de energia. *Continua nos comentários* 👇

Salamba significa "com suporte" e Sarvanga "todo o corpo".
Esta postura está no grupo das #invertidas. Melhora a #circulação sanguínea e o #sono, equilibra o funcionamento da #tireóide e #paratireóide e trabalha pescoço, ombros e abdômen, entre outros benefícios.
Para praticar, deite-se de costas, impulsionando o corpo para cima. Apoie as mãos sobre a região lombar e mantenha os braços e cotovelos firmes no chão. Eles servem de apoio extra para a postura.
Comece com o corpo em um ângulo mais fechado. Com um tempo de prática você poderá facilmente ampliar este ângulo em até 180 graus.
LEMBRE-SE de nunca olhar para os lados para não sobrecarregar a cervical, nem praticar durante o período menstrual.

Sarvangasana has three words in it: 'Sarva' meaning 'Entire', 'Anga' meaning 'Body part' and 'Asana' meaning 'Pose'. This translates to 'All Body Parts Pose'. Sarvangasana, also known as Shoulderstand Pose, is called the "Mother of all Yoga Poses" because it benefits the entire body and the mind. It helps to strengthen the shoulders, neck, and spine, and it stimulates the thyroid and parathyroid glands. It’s known to help improve digestion, irritability and sleeplessness. You’ll often see this pose near the end of a vinyasa class.

Life is beautiful

I came a long way to be where i am at today. A pieceful heart, a calm mind, a relaxed body and a certain wisdom, which allows me to belive, that nothing will ever destroy my truth again.

Back then my world could crash by days or i knew how to destroy my every day life by worrying, making assumptions, and creating drama.
Almost 2 years ago i decided to change it all. So i trained myself in good belives, good thoughts and actions. Pulling myself out of a life of missery and fear. Becoming stronger in what i think is right. Expressing my voice and following what my heart tells me to do. ~

Life never felt better!
~ It is still not easy, but it is my whole approach towards it. And this is my power tool. I hold the key to a happy life. For what i was searching out there for decades, it was all right here, within me.

Verse 2.16 of Patanjali‘s Sutras of Yoga says: „Pain, that has not yet come is avoidable“
~

This is what matters now the most: live now, worry later! 🌺
Why spending most of my time and precious thoughts with being concerned about things, they didnt even happen yet! ~

Awareness work is a wonderful method to live a more fullfiled life, in peace and harmony with myself and everyone/ -thing around me. I practice it over years everyday now. This path is incredible and lead me to places i could have not dream of. Even more, it had sent beautiful human creatures into my life who are my guardians, companions, lovers, guides and light along the way. 🙏🏽

Yoga asanas and Acrobatics

I personally think Acroyoga is a misleading name for this discipline. Most of what is practiced during Acroyoga is not Yoga at all ( also most of what is sold as Yoga in the West is not real Yoga to be honest, it should be called "fitness inspired by Yoga Asanas", but that's probably too long and not a good marketing name, isn't it?) and usually it's the flyer the one performing yoga asanas. This is one of the few asanas that a base is able to perform while basing, it's quite challenging and it took me lot of training to achieve it but it's so rewarding once you get it!

It isn’t all massages and bubble baths — a lot of times it is the boring, basic stuff: planning out healthy meals, getting yourself to the gym, cleaning the house...

Self care is so much about doing whatever it is that will keep those basic elements of Maslow’s hierarchy sated.

Las posturas invertidas llevan una mayor cantidad de sangre hacia la cabeza y el corazón, por esto es recomendable tener la sangre lo más limpia posible.

El apoyo principal va en el borde externo de la muñeca, los antebrazos y los codos, el pecho está abriendo, el torso alargándose y el peso se empuja hacia arriba a través de las piernas activando la planta del pie.
