I am super excited to share this piece I wrote about one of the most magical days I have experienced on the water. It was just published on the @kialoapaddles blog to share with all of you! Thank You Kialoa for not only providing us with kick a$$ gear for our adventures, but helping us share them with each other. Mahalo and much love.
The link is also posted in my bio here: https://kialoa.com/blogs/talkstory/a-day-on-the-water.
#SummerLovin I have so many fond memories of going to this beach as a child. Getting tan with my Mommy. Swimming with my sisters. Making sandcastles. Collecting seashells. Walking on the rocks that jetted out into the water with my Daddy. As an adult, I share this all with my own children. Thankful...Grateful...Blessed...that I CAN.
The red eye flight wasn’t the best idea. On top of my cold I’ve really struggled today. The weather is overcast but still stunning. Took the bula bus to the marina and had a good feed. Then crashed out for nap 2 of the day. Now just relaxing listening to the waves. #holidays#saltwatersoothesthesoul#hurryuptia
It is moments like these where I feel the most ALIVE, CONNECTED & GRATEFUL.
After not feeling well most of the day, a quick hop onto the water and a plop into the sand to witness the sun setting on today, made all the difference. Thanks for the inspo @nysurfgirl

Well, we can’t get on the water with our SUPs but we can get ON water in the Tundra in Springs. What a wonder to witness. The bay has a solid thick layer for hundreds of yards. Solid enough to walk on (cautiously. Ok maybe not really the smartest thing to do but...)
I met up with Roddy from @stand_and_paddle here in the Bluffton/ Hilton Head, SC area. I am here visiting my folks and was looking to get on the water while here. I freakin’ LOVE our SUP commUNITY. 🧜🏻♀️🧜🏻♀️🧜🏻♀️🧜🏻♀️🧜🏻♀️🧜🏻♀️(I HAD to use this new emoji. It’s about time we have a mermaid ). We are connected through social media and were able to meet up and get on the water together. It really is incredible that we can find friends most anywhere we go. On this Black Friday, we took in the beautiful scenery of his home waters on the May River. There is so much to explore. AND the shrimpin’ boat made for a great photo opp! (It reminded me of Forest Gump and with that Roddy shared all about where in this area the movie was filmed.) Roddy is on the water here all year long. He gives tours/lessons and you can find him at www.standandpaddle.com. Check him out if you are ever in the area.
“Life IS like a box a chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” So get outside. Explore. Pause. Take it all in. 🧜🏻♀️🧜🏻♀️🧜🏻♀️ #optoutside#saynotoblackfriday#blackfriyay ##commUNITY#SUPfriends#newfriends#suplife#paddlewithputpose#getoutside#saltwatersoothesthesoul#weareconnectedthroughwater#togetherwecan#connectedthroughSUP#lowcountrySUP#lowcountry
Trust. Open yourself to possibility. Synchronicity. Listen in. The universe has got your back today and everyday. P.S. As I am typing this at the beach, a whale is spouting and eating JUST offshore!! Talk about synchronicity and the universe showing you what you need to see!!!!
