Real world #strength means to be able to accelerate and decelerate with power and strength.
As we get older power is the first thing we loose, so it’s important to incorporate power exercises in our routines.
The Sprinter Snatch to Balance has the ability to create that unilateral power that comes from the feet and glutes, involves core stabilisation and needs Thoracic mobility to master the overhead movement.

Has it ever happened? Has anyone ever gone to the gym wanting to dominate their lateral strength? Probably not but most lifters don’t realize that the thing that can be limiting their strength in exercises like squats, #deadlifts , and presses is this later strength. Being able to have stability of the pelvis allows the #core to be strong and help the arms and legs create more power!

Sandbag cleans and throws today in an extremely haunted graveyard. Paired them with burpees for a great 2 part training session. I’m no good at these seasonal workouts, I’ll leave that to @b_mack_fitness check out his #halloweenhustle workouts

1️⃣Using a front loaded hip hinge with a @perform_better band around the knee accomplishes two goals. The hip hinge creates a connection of the #core and #glutes to help stabilize the pelvis and help the knee from the top down. The band around the foot helps activate the foot more which is the foundation to the knee and helps develop better control and stability which takes load off of the knee itself. …..
2️⃣The lateral lunge with pallof press brings in frontal plane strength and stability to the knee, but just as importantly the lower leg and hip. Control of the lateral motion helps prevent many of the common issues the knee experiences when the pelvis and lower leg can’t control motion in other planes.
