Parents SANDBAG TRAINING is a MUST. One of the biggest things I notice is a lot of new parents are hinging at their lower back as opposed to squatting down to pick up their child. What's the big deal? Well picking up an 8 - 30 pound weight wrong a 20-150 times a DAY. NO BIG DEAL. BUUUUUUUUT HOW ABOUT THAT FOR 4-5 YEARS?!?! That's a minimum of 30,000 improper Deadlifts? Lower back pain anyone?! AS you TRAIN (not before, becuase you learn movement by doing movement, before you do it it, it's just movement theory for toy) with sandbags you learn how to properly squat down and pick up an unbalanced load. You learn to stabilize your core and create a great foundation.

Normal back squats too easy? Dry 6-0-0 tempo front squats with sandbag. Try to keep your upper back straight. I cheated a little at the end. It does not need much weight to make you want to cry 😂

The perfect #athomeworkout using 1 piece of equipment: 30lb sandbag🏋🏼‍♀️. Getting in shape doesn’t mean you need A LOT of tools. Determination and dedication will always outweigh any fancy equipment in the gym. Sure, it’s FUN to have lots of options, and I certainly do, but ultimately staying consistent with trainings and using whatever is available in the moment will keep you FIT LIFELONG❤️.

Btw, I haven’t been consistent at all lately😆, so I’m preaching to the choir. I also need those reminders to stay consistent. After this workout, I felt like a new woman💃🏼. A tired and SWEATY one, but a better one none the less💪🏼💦.

Get your First Pushup!
(Or totally crush some more 😉) I get a lot of questions from women asking how to get their first pushup! It's hard, but easier than you think.
This is a super easy way to build up strength without giving up proper form!

1. Lower yourself in proper pushup form AS SLOWLY AS YOU CAN. Keep your core tight the entire time
2. Snake back up! Don't do the push-up, just the down-ward part.
3. Do as many as you can for 5 rounds

🔊...Two things I hate, cardio and running 😖, but yet, here I am! Using a 50lb sand bag, added some resistance to my uphill HIIT program🏃🏾‍♂️. Although cardio is frowned upon when it comes to trying to make gains, I’ve come to experience that adding some resistance to a solid HIIT program is a great way to get in some serious cardio while actually making some gains! 💪🏾 Try to keep it short, intense, and explosive with minimum rest periods. I’m a little out of shape, but not for long, so “HIIT” me up to join me on this uphill fitness journey! Thanks @erricalynn for videoing 📸

What negative sh$t do you play on repeat in your head...?? I've found these negative stories I play in my head are like ninjas. Some days they're stealthy fuckers that can attack me at any moment, usually at times I'm most vulnerable: "What's wrong with you?", "Why can't you be like..." , "You're not smart/strong/good enough to do..." Sometimes, though, I imagine them as allies that "help" me push through things: "Don't be a pussy," or "Stop being a little bitch," "Put your feelings aside and just do it." But the funny thing about ninjas is that no matter the intent, they're effective killing machines. So be aware of these guys when you use them on yourself, because the more missions you give them the better they get.
