Hello sweet potato nachos okay now that I have your attention I want to discuss something that you may or may not think of, our relationship with food.
Growing up the norm was to always have meals together as a family, discussing everyone’s day, no cell phones, eating until full and satisfied. Now I find myself eating on the run, eating while checking my emails, messages, thinking about everything I have to do. After most meals I never feel satisfied, and I wonder why??
After an amazing discussion last night with a few of my girlfriends it was very evident to me that I need to s l o w down, in many aspect of my life. Today was different, I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner away from my phone. I enjoyed every bite and continued back to my work. It’s AMAZING what being present can do and how your brain’s conversation with yourself changes. I have a lot of work to do but I am already very proud of these little changes and can’t wait to see the positive changes to come
