While in Ubud we took the scooter and drove to Amed with a few stops in between to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Since we passed through the #instafamous gates of heaven anyway we decided to go past and have a peek. It was pretty good, but to wait in a line to make a picture..nah! You can see the line of people waiting for someone to make a photo of them. Keep it real guys! .
The road to Amed is pretty hilly with lots of steep ups and downs and therefore also very pretty. Most people talk about the rice fields of Ubud but all along the foot of Mt Agung there are so many fields here and no tourists at all, win! .
After a journey of 3 hrs, with stops, we entered Amed. The plan was to talk with a few dive and yoga shops, feel the place a bit and see if this might also be a possibility for work and live. We grabbed some food, walked around for a little bit and left the place. Besides the fact that is was very very French, it just didn't feel right at all. Gotta respect those gut feelings, bye Amed! We might do a dive there in the future but living there, nah!
