10/10 chance I had no idea what I was doing but you know what? It feels so damn good to be able to release a little stress, weight of life, and emotion.
The latest “axequisition” a Husqvarna 13” Hatchet. This guy is made in Sweden where all great axes are made but I can’t remember if it is made by Wetteings or Hultafors as I know both make axes for Husky. So if you can tell by the mark please let me know.
My beautiful little family! It wasn't always our plan to only have one child, but this is our complete tribe!
It took the better part of two years to conceive our daughter. But a few weeks before our first scheduled fertility appointment we got the positive!
I have a real respect for those with more than one kid, especially moms. Raising kids is not easy, no matter how many you may have.
I wouldn't change any part of our happy little family of three.
The power to learn & grow & cope & sooth are in YOU, not only in the situation you find yourself in. Don’t depend on others to make changes for you- BE the change. Give yourself the love and support you are looking for. If you can’t do it all on your own, I know a therapist who can help ;)
Not the prettiest of pictures, but this was my first batch of #blackcurrant#wine . The first picture is it fermenting in a bucket. It is now racked and will need to sit for about a month before it can be tasted. Ideally, it will be racked again and left to develop more complexity over several months.
The other pictures are what I am doing with the #pomace . If I had a distiller, I would make pomace brandy. If you've ever had grappa you know what I am talking about.
Every two bottles of wine creates about one bottle of "waste". In order to #wastenothing , however, this byproduct can be used to feed livestock, to make syrup or jelly or juice, or to go in compost. I am making a #fermented fruit sauce.
For my #lessonsonthehomestead I learned about pruning tomatoes! In all my years of tomato growing I haven’t really had to prune tomatoes, but for some reason these plants really wanted to grow leaves rather than grow fruit. I thought *maybe* I needed to prune them so they could focus more energy on fruit rather than vegetation.
If you’re having this problem you can try pruning off the suckers that start growing in between the main stalk and a branch. You can see the little nub here that I pinched off. That will help divert the plants energy to fruit growing.
Then you can also try feeding your plants with a fertilizer that is low in N and higher in P & K. I’ve always just fertilized my plants with the generic like Miracle Gro all purpose stuff, but tomatoes actually like a fertilizer that is lower in nitrogen. @mistymeadowshomestead@elizpmcphee
this card basically hit the nail on the head in tonights guidance reading — i feel so weak & as if every decision im making for the best is the wrong one, sometimes this happens & when it does i try so hard to hold on to all the good things in my life((& there are lots please dont get me wrong)) i tell myself that for me to feel this low i must have felt pretty good beforehand & idk i find that comforting, this is just a big thank you for all of the love & support & patience you all show me literally all of the time, i am eternally grateful & i am always a l w a y s here for every last one of you, please never suffer alone because for as long as i am here you have somebody who cares & who is willing to listen, you are important & i am so proud of you ((I realised how hard it was to read the card on the other photo))
