Last week, I pushed myself into a state of practice. I went and spoke in front of a crowd for a conference on Art and Social Justice Practices. It was terrifying and exciting all at the same time. I spoke about my relationship to art and the world. I shared that over the past few years, I have desired to bring my art to the everyday world, through working with women in the change maker space. The Orenda Project gives voice to the rise of the divine feminine. Whether that is women, men, or those who identify in gender neutral space, we all have this rise of power coming through us. Its a change of guard in a world that is at a threshold of many unknowns. My desire is to work with the community, to make art for the streets, and for everyday life. Its to work with those who are often ‘not seen’ to bring VOICE to everybody and every person. Its to share story and inspiration, to create reflection in the face of adversity.
