When I was deep into my food addiction I believed that shame would strengthen my willpower.
Actually, shame suffocated my soul because shame was telling me that I was flawed.
Letting go of decades of shame is a daily exercise that I do right after brushing my teeth.
Even as I type this, I feel some shame. I have longed to help others with food addiction yet, I was too ashamed to stand up and proclaim it.
Rather, I would market in a kinder and gentler way and as a result, I attracted those who were not a great fit.
Because if you just want to lose weight working with me will be hard. My clients release lots of weight, yet the weight leaves as an effect of healing.
Healing food addiction is hard and messy and beyond rewarding. The rewards result from viewing shame from a different room. Instead of ignoring shame or fighting with shame, we dig deep into shame so we can learn lessons and heal our psyche once and for all
At Cooking Healthy Academy, we are all about healing our bodies and brains through cooking fast and delicious foods while also facing shame so we can heal our minds and see ourselves as God sees us; precious, invaluable, incompatible beings.
