There are two reasons to why these photos mean so much to me. First, these are set photos from SHAW TV, the set is for "the Sunday Omony Show" which was the beginning to my time in the entertainment industry. I took on the challenge of being the shows executive producer. This was a huge opportunity for me and it was also a huge task. Before this I had zero experience with TV, nonetheless being a producer. My role was to find the guests, book the guests, and make sure they were camera ready. I would also coach them on how to control their nerves and be themselves in front of the intimidating presence of a camera. I would produce the TV series for two seasons.
Secondly, this photo shows my journey of weight loss. At this point I was down to only 265lbs from almost 370lbs when I was in brain injury rehab. I lost over 100lbs in 9 months from a changed mindset, eating habit, and strict workout regimen I created at home. Losing weight was crucial to my recovery as I struggled to tie my shoes, I had serious lack of confidence, and I was ashamed of how I looked and how overweight I became.
These photos remind me that with hard work, commitment, and focus you can accomplish your goals. These pictures remind me why the TRAIN HARDER THAN YOU DREAM mindset is crucial! This mindset reminds me that results only show up when you do first.
I am battling weight issues again after battling health issues for a year, and recovering from serious shoulder, neck, and back injuries. However, I know I'll win again because I'll...TRAIN HARDER THAN I DREAM.
Its truly the mindset that creates champions.
