For some reason about six months ago, we fell in love with this little hot mess of a house. It's been difficult squirming out from under the winter blues and getting motivated to work-- especially when the projects ahead are tedious and the list is endless. But we've knocked one out. .
I'm so happy to be with someone who isn't afraid to learn and try and do. I'm so full of warm fuzzy feelings looking at the little things we've done together. Not only is he handy, he's handsome af. .
The walls have been refinished, smoothed, painted, outlets replaced, shutters gone, 100lb mirror held up by about 50 dry rotted Command strips gone, blinds up, all cords and weird racks terminated... .
There's still plenty of work to be done. I need to hang lighting in the cabinet and reupholster the cabinet doors, I need to decorate with the things that have been waiting in boxes to find a home. The floors... Oh the floors need some attention. .
But what do we say to tough projects? Ehhh, not today. .
But most importantly, I'm psyched to leisurely eat some sloppy sliders with a beer at an actual table instead of cramming them in my mouth quickly over a plate in the palm of my hand on the couch. .
More pictures to come. .
