If my fibromyalgia has taught me anything in these last 3 years...it's been to have the courage to keep fighting, try new things, follow your heart and be brave enough to be yourself.
Before becoming sick I lived life cautiously. Always followed the rules (still do sometimes ). Shy, quiet and didn't like new adventures. But I quickly learned overnight, life is to damn short to not live it the best you can!!
So what better way to live boldly than to do a hiking a trail that I've always struggled with even before getting sick. A 532ft climb, rocky terrain, and a hell of an incline. My true nemesis and even more so now with illness.
I've decided on Sunday to try to conquer this trail now that I'm stronger. It won't be easy but neither is living on the sidelines while everyone else has fun.
