I walked past a new restaurant in the Short North called The 1126 (named for its address @ 1126 N High St) and impulsively decided to give it a try. I left SO pleasantly surprised, it has only been open 6 weeks so I didn’t know what to expect but the meal fulfilled my sushi cravings and I already can’t wait to go back. .
I tried the Lobster Tuna Roll appetizer, which was topped with tobiko and edible gold flakes (my favorite dish of the night). Then onto the Teriyaki Chicken Wings, which were perfectly cooked and drenched in an amazing sauce. And for my entree, I had two different Chef’s Specialty rolls- The Sunshine Roll & the Red Hot Roll, both were delicious but the Sunshine Roll outshined the other because of the spicy crabmeat and eel sauce on top. .
Another highlight about this place, other than the food, is that the sushi is reasonably priced. And for those that don’t like sushi- they offer hibachi meals and udon as well! .
Definitely check this place out, for those familiar with the Columbus area, it is in the space of the Parlor Room that closed last year on high street. They didn’t switch up the interior at all so you definitely won’t be getting a traditional sushi bar experience, however it’s a great spot to hit up before a night out .
Thanks for the great experience @the1126restaurant!
