You guys... I’m a serious hurt-sac today. .
My usual post-race weakened immune system has hit full force and I am sick as a dog so I am taking a day off to recover today *GASP* (I know)
But amidst the morning rush of getting three kids out the door on time, I had an Ah-ha moment. So here it is:
I can’t control that I’m sick. It sucks, but it’s out of my control. .
I CAN control certain things to help my situation improve as quickly as possible. .
I CAN control the foods I put into my body. Breakfast is starting off with an egg white omelette 🍳with cheddar, tomato and olives. .
I will, as always, have my super-foods 🥤shake (full disclosure, I may even double up today to speed things up even more) and I’m thinking quinoa salad 🥗 with caprese salad for lunch (I’m obsessed with fresh basil right now 🌿) and bbq chicken for dinner 🍗 .
I will, obviously have copious amounts of tea and Neo-citran and get lots of rest. .
It’s all about outlook, folks. And I am choosing to see today as a big positive because I have been craving some Mommy-alone time for a while now. (Ask me again in an hour when I miss my family like crazy though 😆)
But please - any tips on how to speed up the resolution of these yucky cold symptoms?
