Sometimes when I am with a friend, there is a #smile and a sense of knowing when I do not speak. To not speak is to create space for more #reflection, and space for another voice to come forward, other than my own. In the past, I have spoken words from a scared place, and it brings me #joy to give myself #permission to allow #silence to reign when my deepest self does not consent to me engaging in old patterns. At times I have also felt pulled at by hurt parts of those who I love, as their voice seems to ask me to jump in and save them, and speak to them words of #reassurance. Yet, there is an understanding that if I chose to not speak, this may be done with great love and the intention to let them care for themselves. In this way, allowing silence to exist has been #empowering and healing for those around me, and something that I have had others express deep #gratitude for.
