Yes I will complain about the heat again, it is too hot to function , this summer is madness! Today I thought I would review the Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing 5.5 Cleanser. I've been using it for a while now so I'm ready to give my opinion.
The product: This is a water-based cleanser that can be used as a first cleanser in the am or second cleanser in the pm. It is low pH, which is why I decided to try it out as my skin is on the dry side. The product comes in a squeezeable tube, it is very thick and dense, you have to press quite hard to make it comes out. A plus to this, is that it won't leak when travelling. This cleanser creates a very mild foam lather, but it does a great job at cleaning the skin. I mostly use it in the pm, I find it a bit too stripping to use it in the am as well. In the morning I prefer using cleansing water.
Scent: Ok I had to address this separately, this cleanser has a very noticeable odd fragrance. It's not blueberries, more like citrus, but very artificial. It threw me off immediately, not a fan of it at all. Cosdna: One low acne trigger, and a high irritant trigger. So not too bad, my skin reacted fine to it. This cleanser does contain a lot of surfactants though, which can be drying to the skin. This may not be the best choice low pH cleanser if you have dry skin. Final thoughts: This cleanser cleanses very well, I have no issues with that at all, it even removes make-up on its own very well. It's a tad drying for me in the morning, but I have no issues in the evening. You can't fault the price, it's very cheap and for a low-budget cleanser, this product really isn't bad. Be that as it may, I won't buy it again, I hate the scent, don't find it ideal for my skin type and am not a fan of the thick consistency.
