I spent many years living my life for other people. I didn't know who I was, or what I really wanted.
So I just did what made others happy.
I followed the career path that was expected of me.
I changed myself to get love, and modified myself to be accepted.
I listened to the opinions of others and let them guide my choices.
I copied other people, rather than forging my own trail.
But when I was 27, all of that began to change.
I was tired of feeling stuck, empty, unfulfilled and lost.
So I decided it was time to get to know who I really was, and find out what I really wanted.
I wanted to hear the voice that felt like it was purely mine, and not someone elses.
And so I picked up my journal, opened to a blank page and embarked on a journey of self-discovery.
I spent hours writing and exploring my inner self.
I wrote out lists of the small things that made me happy.
I set intentions of who I wanted to be.
I tuned into my heart and listened to what it wanted.
I created a scrapbook full of visions for my future.
I wrote out goals that my mind told me were silly and outrageous, but which something deeper told me to follow.
The more that I journaled, the more my true self began to emerge.
As I found the courage to bring her out onto the page, she started to become real. And I was able to fully step into her.
From here, my whole life began to transform, and a new path opened up for me.
A path that felt deeply aligned with who I really am, and allowed my true essence to shine.
My journaling practice literally changed the course of my life, and I believe it is one the greatest tools for self-discovery, inner work and transformation.
If you are feeling called to create your own powerful practice, I would love to invite you to join my 3-part Journaling Workshop Series.
It includes my 90 page Turn Inwards Journaling Guide ebook, along with 3 live and interactive online journaling sessions where I teach you how to use your journal to manifest your desires, process big emotions, and drop into your heart to receive loving inner guidance.
