Day 6: Inspire Trust
Yesterday my very supportive sister asked me why I hadn’t chosen to use GoFundMe or Kickstarter as a platform for this first initiative launch of Aloha Alliances since so many people know about them. She also asked why I had chosen to launch after the holidays when I was ready to launch during the holidays.
The simple answer is I trust.
I trusted in the risk I was taking to use a platform that was not mainstream but is designed for and aligned with the type of things we are up to. We are excited to be using @startsomegood and trust that this decision will set the stage for other alliances, that may not be the most obvious or popular, but build deeper relationships and connection to our values. This did come with the known risk of raising all or nothing which gives us further opportunity to practice trusting in whatever ends up happening. I learn this type of trust by watching the sunrise and the sunset daily.
I also trust in the timing of it all. I was ready to launch this initiative on my birthday, 12/12, but I realized that the organization needed its time first, I felt this knowing in my stomach so everyday I had a little convo with my tummy and asked if it was time to birth the initiative. It responded on the first and that’s what I followed. If I don’t have personal practices of trust now then can we, as an organization, inspire it in our communities and alliances.
So here we, here I am, at the half way point of the launch trusting in the intentions we have birthed. All might not turn out the way we planned but we are ready for whatever arises.
Thank you for the reminder of this @kaciejeanphoto , I love you and get so much out of our daily sister conversations.
